to the artists, designers and craftspeople who think I call their work kitsch... this is NOT the case, it refers to my own work

Pinakothek der Moderne

The open structure by Stephan Braunfels is one of the world's largest buildings housing art of the 20th and 21st centuries.  Combined tickets to the other museums in the area will keep you going the whole day.  Unfortunatley I arrived far too late and could only view a quarter of the collection here before closing time.

Julian Göthe - The Sublimes I
Space ... a great feeling to be able to view works that aren't cluttered together.

A bright green light draws me into a large space.
on the left : Dan Flavin - "Monument" for V. Tatlin

Dan Flavin
A weird experience... the walls are actually white (and so is the sign).  The green colour is caused by the fluorescent lights.  When leaving the room after some minutes, the white walls in the other rooms look bright purple/pink and it takes some time for the eyes to adapt to normal light again.
