to the artists, designers and craftspeople who think I call their work kitsch... this is NOT the case, it refers to my own work

cOLOrès in the bosco - crazy crochet

Yesterday I picked up a knitting project I started and abandonned over a year ago.  Not happy where it was leading to I decided to change the final goal... not revealing anything yet, it will take a long time to get there.

Looking to make a post related to my current occupation I found these pictures taken during last summer (2011).

Helina Rääk - painting, sewing, drawing

I am usually not too fond of pastels and flowers and other 'girly' things, but I really did like this work.

The mix of painting, drawing, stitching and 3D elements made these works quite interesting.

Nice details I'd love to explore a bit longer.

Estonian born Helina Rääk lives and works in Paris.  One of the artists in the 59 Rue Rivoli building.

I was so fascinated by the light effects of the sun shining through the raindrops on the glass roof, I could have stayed for hours watching the changes.

Designer Zoo - pure Danish

Dzoo is a working design store in Copenhagen based on a community of 8 designers with their studios right next to the shop.  This is what makes this place so interesting.  Almost everything is made right here.

Furniture, jewelry, knitwear, glass, ceramics by Danish designers.

A great variety of colours is available for the 'homemade' tables.

Beautiful knitwear in great colours and lovely textures made right here.

Designer Catherine Kahrs at work in her studio behind the shop.

A piece almost ready.

Worth while a visit when in Copenhagen.
