today is All Saint's Day and this one is on his way to the party

working on art for 24 hours

Our friend Charlotte Shaw is a volunteer to participate in the 24 hours Relay for Life event at Tour & Taxis site in Brussels, Belgium.

People are invited to make life drawings...

or create moodboards...

Charlotte Shaw is preparing backgrounds for the projects

and already two people made their first attempts at art and had a lot of fun doing it.

and a fleamarket stall offers nice objects for sale.

The 24 hour event started at 18.00 on 27 August and is going on until 18.00 today

the most courageous participants are spending the night here

still 7 hours to go as I write this...

noisy day

A few boxes filled with toy racecars are waiting for a project. 

Meanwhile we're 'enjoying' the real thing...

The view from our window this morning.  The field in front of the house is turned into a racetrack.  The autocross - as it is called here - will be going on all through the day.

A roaring sound for the entire day...

Apart from that it looks like it is going to be a nice one.

The streetlights on Sint Veerleplein are connected to the maternity hospitals in the city of Ghent.

Pulpit shaped like a ship (we're some 50 KM from the Alps, no sea within the next 200 or more)

More saints with broken and restored noses (no wonder he's looking sad)

More trompe l'oeil on the local former Monastery...

Over 2.000 psychiatric patients - adults and children - from this former hospital were used for medical experiments and killed between 1939 and 1945.
