to the artists, designers and craftspeople who think I call their work kitsch... this is NOT the case, it refers to my own work

Karin van der Molen - wood mood

It's this gorgeous time of the year; walking through the wood we're enjoying colours and the scent of fallen leaves... and art.

We're busy chopping wood in our 'forest' to get our supply of logs for the next winter.  Karin's work is very inspiring... I might have a go at making a similar work on a smaller scale in our own backyard.

Current - Eline 't Sant

No matter in what environment Eline's installations are placed, they're always powerful and captivating.  They are engaging a new dialogue in a different setting.

This time the location is overpowering, litterally... the powerstation a the closed coalmine.  Flooding with light one first discovers the monumental engines.  It takes some time to find the almost hidden artworks.

Marc Janssens - sculptures

Marc Janssens' mixed-media sculptures never cease to amaze me since I first saw a few of them some 5 years ago in a gallery.  The sculptures always seem to have the same expression and yet they are so full of emotions.
But I've never seen them in a setting just so right.  I imagine the large engines of the power station coming to life at night to create these robust but fragile beauties.
