A few months ago (early spring 2011) I was contacted by someone from Genk, Belgium asking if they were allowed to borrow this idea for a special project. The aim was to put the chairs in different parts of the city so that local people would sit down and litterally come closer together and talk. The Chair Project was an original idea from my late neighbour ceramic artist Anita Huybens. 12 of these chairs were sold to raise funds for the beginning Palestinian Circusschool. Other people continue the project, more info HERE (in Dutch).
