I was planning a long post on our visit to the Affordable Art Fair yesterday ...
Our trusted computer that served us for many years will be put in a permanent sleep; this morning the 'doctor' diagnosed a fatal illness.
Hopefully all information - and especially the thousands of pictures I took the last two and a half years - can be retrieved and saved.
And if things go well I'll be back sometime next week.

just take out the hard drive, then you need to buy , i think it is called a scat drive/reader.basically a housing for the hard drive, so you can access it like an external drive on your new computer
I had to learn this the hard way in Sydney, but I did not lose any data
